Is it possible that his homophobia/transphobia might be a result of his repressed childhood? Though, I don’t blame him if he really is transphobic because they really chased him 24/7 for 2 years 😭😂 shits terrifying What came over Sanji on Kamabakka Island to make him want to dress in drag? When you watch the scene where Sanji turns into an Okama, they specifically tell him/he specifically says that he isn’t “being honest” with himself. There are some gem characters like Ivankov and Bon-chan, but the other okama characters are portrayed kind of. While we’re on the topic, how do you feel Oda handles LGBT characters in One Piece? i consider Luffy to be Asexual. So, pretend that one day Oda offhandedly mentioned that Zoro was gay, and it doesn’t affect the story TOO much. He doesn’t know that I’m bi so it kind of bothered me but hey LOL I’m not offended. He said it would be unrealistic or pandering.
I was talking to a friend the other day who told me that he’d drop One Piece if, for example, Luffy/Zoro/Sanji (a main male character) turned out to be gay or part of the LGBT community.
